Characteristic of Brittany’s rocky coasts, the low-lying coastal moors cover more than 300 hectares on Belle-Île, with one specificity: they are composed of wandering heather moors. These particular moors form a unique natural environment in Europe, and their conservation is a priority.
The Golf de Belle-île is, since 2007, signatory of the NATURA 2000 charter, whose main commitments are: to participate in the awareness of its users, to limit its water intakes by reserving its watering to the greens only, and above all to use phytosanitary treatments with responsibility and respect for the natural environments.

1987: Gery Watine, French Champion, inaugurates the 9-hole.
1996:Patrice Léglise, 4-time French professional champion, claims that each round of this course allows him to invent new golf shots. Philippe Ploujoux, 7-time French amateur champion and winner of the British amateur at St. Andrews, ranks it among the 3 most beautiful French golf sites, and considers hole #2 one of the 10 most beautiful par 3s in France!
2006: the course stabilizes around 14 holes (7 outbound/7 inbound) time and usage have given a name to each of them: the Muff, the Lighthouse, the Sahel, Sarah, the Two. This famous Two, untamable that so many photographers or artists try to freeze on paper.
2007: a partnership protocol is signed, awarding this place the European Natura 2,000 label, which confirms by adhering to this charter the commitment of theextreme golf for the respect of the natural environment as the fauna and flora are part of the course.
If you don’t want to burden yourself during your round trip, you can rent all the equipment on site: bag and manual or electric cart.
The Belle-île Golf Course is open all year round! However, depending on weather conditions, all or part of the course may be temporarily closed.
