From beaches to valleys
Singular and exotic
Locmaria, founded in 1070 is distinguished by its singular character: a more developed agriculture, a dense rural habitat and an almost absence – nowadays – of maritime activity.
Highest point of the island, Locmaria also cultivates its difference by opposing the highest cliffs of the island and the charm of the large beaches, such as Les Grands Sables.
900 inhabitants are spread out in 33 hamlets and the town. You will find the splendid church Notre-Dame-du-Bois-Tors, witness of the year 1000, which under the sun, with its palm tree and its flowery square propels you in South America!
If you love wide open spaces and tranquility, make Locmaria your little corner of paradise, you won’t regret it!
