The Quality Tourism Mark

A nationally recognized mark

Obtaining the Quality Tourism Mark, in April 2015, is a recognition of our professionalism. It has also fully contributed to the classification of the tourist office in category I, in March 2016, classification in the process of renewal.

The quality approach has initiated a reflection for an optimal organization of work. It is a tool at the service of all the staff for a better listening of the visitors and partners, as well as the analysis of the indicators allowing to anticipate, to mitigate and to correct possible dysfunctions.

A piece of countryside in the middle of the ocean, a nature beaten by the sea, proud, strong and true island characters: Belle-île-en-mer, it is to take the open sea, to return to the essential on the largest of the Breton islands

The 8 great island values

1. The respect for a nature beaten by the sea and the wind

2. An island living year round

3. A large island with a human dimension, welcoming, supportive and intimate

4. Tourism, support for a diversified economy valuing local know-how and a quality terroir

5. A country outpost – with strong relief – in the middle of the Ocean

6. Island characters strong in their differences, insularity as an asset

7. An island and nature destination, land of experimentation and excellence

8. The freedom to get lost

Our Quality Policy

It is translated internally by the development of an annual action plan, which sets objectives, means, deadlines and measurement indicators for each action.

We are committed to offering our visitors and economic partners:

  • a warm welcome and informed advice
  • accurate and up-to-date information
  • advice on organizing your stay
  • an awareness of the preservation of the island and its resources
  • an accurate knowledge of the offer of our territory
  • a promotion and enhancement of the territory’s offer
  • an attentive listening on your remarks and suggestions

Destination Belle-île-en-mer Quality Group

Made up of members of the Management Committee and technicians from the Tourist Office, the Destination Quality Group meets at least once a year. It analyses the results of the surveys, remarks and complaints recorded each year.

The various quality indicators cover the territory and highlight areas for improvement, emerging needs and points of satisfaction.

A summary is written by the quality referent of the Tourist Office of Belle-île-en-Mer. This report is then used to prepare the next tourist season.
