Atelier céramique : Kurinuki

Take advantage of your Easter holidays in Belle Ile to discover the Japanese art of Kurinuki. Shape a simple block of solid clay, and hollow out an "inner space" in it. This is a thousand-year-old gesture called Kurinuki in Japanese. From this gesture was born a rich and subtle decorative art, bowls, bottles, vases…. Just try Kurinuki to discover thousands of landscapes revealed by the earth. Some pieces have very well defined facets, others have rounder and softer curves. There is therefore not a single style, but a multiplicity of approaches and several aesthetic currents. It is the spirit that emerges from the object that counts above all. The kURINUKIs will dry in the workshop. They will be put in the electric oven for the 1st cooking, then enamelled and annealed, always in the electric oven, to be able to use them as a food container.
