With Sarah Mesnay, discover Japanese modeling and pottery techniques. Shape a simple block of solid clay and hollow out "an inner space". This is an age-old gesture that is called Kurinuki in Japanese. From this gesture was born a rich and subtle decorative art, bowls, bottles, vases.... Just try Kurinuki to discover thousands of landscapes revealed by the earth. Some pieces have very well-defined facets, others have rounder and softer curves. There is therefore not a single style, but a multiplicity of approaches and several aesthetic trends. It is the spirit that emerges from the object that counts above all. The kURINUKI will dry in the workshop. They will be put in the electric oven for the first firing, then enameled and annealed, still in the electric oven, to be able to use them as food containers.
