Health ecology is a growing interdisciplinary approach that studies the complex interactions between environmental management and overall health, including human, animal and environmental health. From a prevention perspective, this approach aims to better understand how environmental transformations and the evolution of our lifestyles impact health. To do this, it requires the collaboration of many disciplines (scientific ecology, infectiology, ecophysiology, geography, etc.) in order to elucidate the mechanisms involved in the emergence or re-emergence of pathogenic microorganisms. Thus, health ecology allows us to better understand the causes of emerging diseases, often linked to environmental imbalances (climate change, pollution, etc.), and to propose solutions to reconcile environmental preservation and public health promotion. Serge DENEUVEGLISE is an associate professor at the Faculty of Science and Technology of Lille. He is associated in this conference with Ghaffar MUHARRAM, lecturer at the Center for Infection and Immunity of Lille. 6pm, multi-purpose hall, Bangor
