In London, at the beginning of the 17th century, the theater experienced a remarkable flourishing. The GLOBE, a theater among dozens of others, attracted a large audience, eager for new things. It was closely linked to William SHAKESPEARE who was its main playwright. Many of Shakespeare's plays began their career on the Globe stage. Demolished in 1644, the Globe was able to be rebuilt at the end of the 20th century thanks to the determination of an American actor who, despite all the obstacles, managed to revive this emblematic place of English theater.
