Exposition : "écrivaines voyageuses, les femmes aussi sont du voyage."

This exhibition, entirely designed by the library team, highlights the inspiring journey of several women writers known for having traveled the world and for having left us exciting and unforgettable writings. You will discover the following portraits: • Alexandra David Neel (1868 - 1969), explorer of Tibet • Isabelle Eberhardt (1977 - 1904), adventurer of the Maghreb • Ella Maillart (1903 - 1997) who crossed Central Asia • Annemarie Schwartzenbach (1908 - 1942), Swiss adventurer journalist. Not forgetting contemporaries: • Isabelle Autissier, navigator and first woman to sail around the world • Catherine Poulain, French writer who traveled across several continents. The exhibition offers portraits and biographies as well as short extracts from stories, bibliographies and a wide selection of documents.
