Festival de Bangor

The specificity of the Bangor festival is to present to the public programs of concerts and shows brought together according to a chosen theme. The concerts bring together music, literature and image. The literary or societal theme circulates through different styles of music. A common thread is thus created between concerts. The programs are designed for a team of instrumentalists or singers who are used to working together and preparing a new musical edition each year. The epicenter of the festival is the commune of Bangor but also occurs in the other communes of the island, in particular in Sauzon or Locmaria. According to the statutes of the Association “Belle ile en musique Festival de Bangor”, part of the festival's activity is still reserved for the interpretation of works by composers who came to Belle-Ile at the beginning of the twentieth century.
