    Marie Pinguet, dancer and Pilates teacher, invites you to discover or deepen this practice during a course that will take place at the Bangor multipurpose hall. The Pilates method is a set of exercises aimed at strengthening the deep muscles of the body, the one that supports our posture. This technique is named after its creator, Joseph Pilates, who developed it in the early 1930s in New York. Its particularity is to give great importance to the center of the body, in other words to the abdominal belt and the deep muscles of the back, as the basis of a harmonious posture. However, during a Pilates session, the whole body is reworked. The emphasis is on the control and fluidity of movements, breathing, coordination and precision. This method strengthens and lengthens the muscles, improves awareness of the body and posture, develops flexibility and balance while channeling stress. This practice is for everyone... and everyone! Although it is difficult to welcome pregnant women to group classes, young mothers are welcome, as this practice is very effective for getting back into shape after giving birth.
