Stage d'eau-forte

During this course I will guide you in the basic technique of etching: plate preparation and line work in acid. Then discovery of two other techniques: laying and working with aquatint, laying and using plate marbling. At the end of the three days, everyone will be able to: • prepare a plate • manage the different stages of applying an aquatint • manage the etching in the etching • ink their matrix • make the print under the press Everyone leaves with two at least prints of each plate. Everyone can make their matrix from their imagination, a photo, an inspiration found in the art books made available at the workshop.
