Essential information for your arrival at the Port of Le Palais

Presentation of the Port of Le Palais

The Port of Le Plais consists of 4 basins:

 

  • The outer harbor constantly in the water, well sheltered from winds, except from east to southeast. Mooring on couple buoys, north breakwater (30 berths) draft up to 3m or breakwater (35 berths), draft up to 2 m, on modular pontoon with access to land. Fuel self-service at the hold Bonnelle, docking after agreement of the harbor master (VHF 9)

 

  • The beaching inner harbor, after the channel of the Yser, at the foot of the citadel. A few possible places along the docks on the starboard side. Access to the small pontoon is forbidden. Drinking water terminal at the lock.

 

  • The wet dock, entrance regulated by a tidal gate, schedules available on the website of the town hall of Le Palais. 3 hours of opening on average (tides between 6:00 and 22:00). Pedestrian bridge lifted on demand. 90 places afloat, in pairs along the quays on pontoons (water and electricity). Regular traffic of priority coasters on starboard quay. Draft up to 2.50 m.

 

  • The basin of the salt, marina with pontoons (water and electricity) reduced numbers of places, no reservations, contact the harbor master’s office 24 h before. Please note: regular coaster traffic priority on starboard dock

At the Le Palais Port Office

On the right side of the Bonnelle Quay, where passengers and goods disembark, the Le Palais harbor office provides all the essential services for the smooth running of your stopover: placement, port payment and marine weather. Showers, toilets, washing machine, dryer and wifi access are also available.

Adjacent to the harbor master’s office, the Belle-île-En Mer tourist office is open all year round. You will find there, free of charge, all the useful documentation for your stay: tourist map, bus schedules, tide schedules and advice given by a team at your disposal!
